Energy Bill Discounts & Assistance

Duke EnergyWise® Home offers rewards for helping shift energy use away from peak periods. If you have a Smart Thermostat, or an HVAC system with heat strips or a Water Heater you can qualify for up to $75 off your bill. Watch this video explanation.

Samaritan’s Purse provides fully furnished mobile homes and trailers to families who lost their homes due to disasters, particularly following Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina and tornadoes in other regions. Must prove that you owned a home with a title.

Renew NC Housing NC government funded programs for storm impacted homes
– Single-Family Housing Programprovides centralized housing rehabilitation, reconstruction or replacement program for low-to-moderate income  families with seniors aged 62 and older, children, and/or disabled household members impacted by Hurricane Helene.
– Small Rental Rehabilitation Program helps eligible rental property owners (landlords) repair, reconstruct, or replace small rental properties (1–4 units) damaged by Hurricane Helene.
